Broughton Community Choir

Broughton Community Choir_edited.jpg

We are a friendly and open-hearted mixed voice community choir who have all been brought together through a love of singing and having fun. Our ethos is one of encouragement and support and we are expertly led in this by our conductor Martin Jones.

We rehearse on Tuesday nights, all singers are welcome from the least experienced to the very confident and there are no auditions required, just a willingness to take part.

We love to perform and hold three main concerts each year:

  • The Christmas Concert – a delightful evening of music and laughter held in Broughton Parish Rooms

  • The Charity Concert – we are key supporters of local music charity BEAM and other local groups and raise funds through this concert in Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall where we are often joined by a variety of performers.

  • The Summer Fancy Dress Concert – we encourage both audience and choir to come in fancy dress to this themed concert usually held in Croxton Church, a lovely summer venue.

We also perform at the Eccleshall Grand Singathon in the Community Centre, the Christmas Tree Festival in Holy Trinity Church and the Well Dressing in Croxton, in addition to taking part in some special occasions such as the nationwide charity performance at the Coliseum in London to support Shelter and a flash mob in Chester!
